Hi, I’m Priidu I made the original Skype emoticons
For years, I’ve been thinking about bringing these little yellow dudes back to life in some shape or form.
Ever since we made them at Skype – and it wasn’t just me, some were made by my wonderfully talented teammates – people have kept telling me how much they loved them back when Skype was their go-to app for talking and chatting. That’s how this project was born – put them on shirts and let everyone wear their favorite.
Just so you know, this page isn’t affiliated with Microsoft, the official owner of Skype today. And it’s not trying to step on their rights to this original artwork in any way. It’s simply a small, nostalgic side project, so people can enjoy something they really loved back in the day. I’ve reached out to Microsoft about it, but haven’t heard back yet (hi, Microsoft Legal – please get in touch, let’s make this official!).
When you buy a shirt, it is printed and shipped by Cotton Bureau, a great indie shop making top-notch T-shirts and more. Whatever profit is made from the sale of the apparel goes 100% to charity.
